Step 1: PREPARE

PREP YOUR SURFACE

• Allow newly painted surfaces to fully cure (dry) for a minimum of 4 weeks before you start installation.

• For walls painted with low or zero-VOC paints, use a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water to prepare the walls before installation.

• Make sure electrical outlets are off and remove any wall fixtures.

• Sand down any bumps with fine sandpaper to create a smooth wall.

• Clean (with a sponge and gentle all-purpose cleaner), dry and smooth all surfaces.

LAYOUT YOUR WALLPAPER

• Unroll and separate your wallpaper panels. Let them uncurl until flat on the floor before starting.

• Look for Tile Numbers labelled on the edge of each panel, then arrange them in order as shown in the graphic.

• Each panel comes with a horizontal overlap for a seamless installation.

Note: Peel & Stick comes with 0.25” overlap. Pre-Pasted & Traditional comes with 1”.

MAKE YOUR MARKS

• On the left side of your wall, measure out from the corner, 23.5” W to 24” W and mark the wall lightly with a pencil or with tape.

• Put your level / plumb on this mark and draw (OR use the tape) to make a straight, level, vertical line from floor to ceiling.

• This line is the guide for your first panel.

STEP 2: INSTALL

INSTALLING THE FIRST PANEL

• For best results, install the wallpaper with two people.

• Start at the top left corner with Tile #1, and peel away 12” of backing paper from the top.

• Position the panel an extra 1-2 inches higher and to the left, overlapping the ceiling and left side of the wall (you will trim this later).

• Align the right side of the panel to the plumb line. Lightly press the edge to the wall along the mark.

• Gently peel to reposition if needed. Avoid pulling / stretching the material, or the pattern will not align.

• Working your way down, gradually pull the backing away as you evenly press the paper to the wall. Do not force; let gravity assist you.

• Let one person guide the paper along the plumb line on top while the other holds the bottom end.

• The person below should keep the roll aligned to the plumb line, and away from the wall until the panel above is lined up.

• Then use a squeegee, and work your way down the panel in a back and forth motion. Finally, smooth out the material to the wall, pushing out any air bubbles.

INSTALLING REMAINING PANELS

• Repeat the procedure by aligning your next panel to the right edge of the previous panel and overlapping the new panel to the left for a seamless finish.

• Ensure each panel is straight with the level.

Note: Peel & Stick comes with 0.25” overlap. Pre-Pasted & Traditional comes with 1”.

Step 3: TRIM

GRAB YOUR RULER

• Use a straight edge and a sharp x-acto knife to trim off excess material at the ceiling, baseboard, and sidewalls.

• Change the blade often to help keep a smooth, clean cut.
